Edwards Aquifer Habitat Conservation Plan - Water Quality Protection Plan, City of San Marcos, Texas
To protect Edwards Aquifer and San Marcos River endangered species, cities and water providers in central Texas gained approval of a Habitat Conservation Plan that also managed water supplies during drought in a rapidly growing urban area. Plummer helped guide the process and participated in all watershed protection opportunities to optimize near and long-term solutions for implementation and potential inclusion into the City capital improvement program. Plummer is currently leading the development of enhanced water quality measures in the Land Development Code revision process including creek buffer zones, water quality treatment, and the inclusion of low impact development options. Plummer will play a key role in the stakeholder process to gain public and city council support and approval.
