Denton Creek Regional Wastewater System Segments A and B Pipeline Design, Trinity River Authority of Texas

This Denton Creek Regional Wastewater System wastewater interceptor / lift station / force main project was for a new service area. APAI designed two miles of 24-inch segment B interceptor, an 18.6-MGD lift station, and 2.6 miles of parallel 12- and 30-inch segment A force mains. The lift stations included 60-ft-deep wet wells, six identical 80-HP submersible pumps, SCADA controls, arc flash hazard analysis, backup generators, well for washdown water, magnesium hydroxide pH conditioning feed system, site security cameras, area lighting, security fencing, and screening walls. The twin force mains crossed under the Union Pacific Railroad, TxDOT right-of-way, and have multiple overhead electric encroachment agreements. Two parshall metering flumes and manholes with telemetry were included on the pipelines. This project included a Tier II Clean Water SRF Environmental Assessment.
