WRC Plant Expansion

Plummer designed an expansion to CCMA’s wastewater treatment plant from 6.2 to 10 MGD.

The plant went into operation in the mid ‘70s, and needed many upgrades in addition to the expansion components. The project is currently under construction and includes a new wastewater  treatment train, water reclamation site improvements, and a new creek outfall with all related appurtenances. The project scope also addressed a new aeration basin; blower building; an additional final clarifier; RAS/WAS pump station; demolition of a second stage trickling filter and construction of new sludge blending tank with mixing equipment; new outfall structure/piping; new post aeration basin with blowers; and modifying the existing chlorine contact basin to provide connection to the post aeration structure.
