APAI Announces First-of-its-kind Direct Potable Reuse (DPR) Resource Document

THURSDAY, JUNE 11, 2015 This project brought together a team of national and international experts working with the TWDB, 12 utility sponsors, WateReuse Texas and the TCEQ to develop a resource document for DPR. The document is intended to be a technical resource for utilities, consultants, planners, academicians, and other parties interested in evaluating the feasibility of implementing DPR or for utilities that have determined that DPR is feasible and are entering the planning phase of a project.

Alan Plummer Associates, Inc. led the consultant team with Ellen McDonald, PhD, PE, at the helm. “This report will provide much-needed information and guidance to public water systems interested in pursuing direct potable reuse in Texas and elsewhere. It was an honor to lead our incredibly talented team of technical experts and work with our sponsors and stakeholders to make this project a reality,” said McDonald.
