The wastewater odor abatement team has both technical expertise and cutting-edge resources for odor abatement at wastewater plants.
The APAI team has performed the only full-scale studies and design of feeding pure oxygen into the wastewater treatment process to eliminate odor before it forms. APAI also has a dispersion model that acts as a visual tool for studying odor and how it spreads (only about 6 such models exist). Additional services include biofilter and bioscrubber design, containment system design, corrosion management, and omission testing. We are also exploring spraying magnesium hydroxide on the interior of the pipe to prevent corrosion, an innovative technique in this part of the country.
