APAI is seeking a full-time engineering or water resources professional for its Dallas constructed wetland design team. This team specializes in innovative wetland applications to meet challenging water treatment needs. Past projects have included the American Council of Engineering Companies 2004 Engineering Excellence Grand Award winner. The ideal candidate will have a Masters or PhD in civil, environmental, or agricultural/biological engineering from an accredited university and 2 to 5 years experience with free-water surface treatment wetlands gained through operational experience and/or educational training. Candidate must have knowledge of kinetic and hydraulic models used in the design of treatment wetlands and other natural systems; as well as a solid understanding of related plant-soil-water interactions. The successful candidate will be motivated and hard-working, have excellent oral and written communication skills, and be able to work on multiple projects as part of the constructed wetland design team. Ideal Candidate will have experience in the design of water and/or wastewater facilities storm water and water resources. 15 - 25 years structural design experience in the area of water and/or wastewater facilities or related experience. Progressive experience including design, lead structural engineer, project management, structural design group lead is desired. Experience in leading quality control and quality assurance reviews is a plus. Must hold a Texas P.E. or can obtain within 6 months.
