We are in the vanguard of the water conservation activities within the State of Texas. Our work has included strategic plans for the City of Dallas to accelerate its water conservation activities during the next five-year period. We also have been the principal authors for developing water conservation strategies for the Region C planning area (the north central area of Texas including Dallas and Fort Worth.)
Water conservation will play a significant role in meeting the needs for the citizens of the southwestern United States. So too will other effective water use strategies including water reuse, desalination, and aquifer storage and retrieval. We look to each measure, not as a stand-alone solution, but as a family of solutions that are integrated into an overall water supply strategy. But in all cases we consider water conservation a key component of the water supply solution.
